Bitwise launches first advertisement for Spot Bitcoin ETF

By newsbit.nl - 19-12-2023

The launch of Spot Bitcoin ETFs in the United States seems to be getting closer and closer. There is huge competition in this branch of the industry, so Bitwise is already trying to win over the general public with a new advertisement. In the advert, we see actor Jonathan Goldsmith, who played "The Most Interesting Man in the World" in a campaign for Dos Equis Beer.

That persona Bitwise tries to revive in the ad below. Instead of the words "Stay thirsty, my friends" from the beer ad, he now says "You know what's interesting these days? Bitcoin. Watch Bitwise, my friends."

The launch is getting closer

Although the SEC has not yet approved any Spot Bitcoin or Ethereum ETF, you can feel by everything that a launch is near.

While Bitcoin took another big hit last week, the bulls now seem to be quietly regaining momentum. At the time of writing, for instance, the Bitcoin price is at a plus of 5 per cent and is back above $43,000.

That Bitwise is already launching advertisements by now indicates that they are confident that the launch of their Spot Bitcoin ETF will not take long.

It is possibly for this reason that we are seeing another nice plus on the boards for the Bitcoin price today.

Who is Jonathan Goldsmith?

Basically, Jonathan Goldsmit has nothing at all to do with Bitcoin, at least as far as we know. Goldsmith appeared in several advertisements between 2006 and 2018 in which he portrayed himself as "the most interesting man in the world." In which he shared humour-wrapped "facts" about himself in several advertisements.

For instance, he is said to be the only man ever to pass a Rorschach test without errors and has been upgraded for flights he didn't even check in for.He is now 85 and so now Goldsmith is making the switch to Bitcoin for Bitwise.

Our guess? The actor will get a very nice sum of money for this.
